Getting to UVicSILICAMICS 2 is hosted at the University of Victoria, Victoria, BC, Canada. The conference will be held in the Medical Sciences Building, in room 160. An additional room, ###, will be available for smaller discussions as necessary.
Getting to UVic from downtown Driving Visitors to the UVic campus may park at a meter or display valid daily/hourly parking permit available from one of the permit dispensers. The recommended parking lot is Parking Lot E, immediately adjacent to the Medical Sciences Building. Taxi Victoria has a number of taxi companies that can provide transportation to UVic. Transit routes from downtown hotels Swans Hotel and Brewpub - 506 Pandora Ave Catch Bus #4 (Northbound, UVic) or Bus #11 (Southbound, UVic) on Douglas Street. Departs frequently. DoubleTree by Hilton - 777 Douglas Street Catch Bus #7 (UVic) directly in front of the hotel. Departs every 15 minutes.
Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour - 728 Humbolt Street Catch Bus #4 (UVic) on Fairfield Rd (~100m walk). Departs every 10 minutes.
Chateau Victoria Hotel and Suites - 740 Burdett Avenue Catch Bus #4 (UVic) on Fairfield Rd. Departs every 10 minutes.
Hotel Grand Pacific - 463 Belleville Street This hotel is approximately 1km from all bus routes.
Fairmont Empress Hotel - 721 Government Street Catch Bus #7 (UVic) along Humboldt/Burdett Ave (~400m walk from the Empress). Departs every 15 minutes.
Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa - 100 Harbour Road This hotel is not located downtown, but is approximately 1km from the downtown area.
